Buck'n'Hynd
Auld Hoose
Silver Tassie
Blazers
looking at section 2 of the 100 ball it has 3 of the top 4 teams from last season maybe their should have been a ranking system involved to make the other groups more competative. i think a team like the buck would have stood more of a chance to qualify if they had 1 of the 3 and 2 other teams say empire or railway.
in the jathros draw we had all the players that qualified for last seasons quarters as the 8 seeds so out of the 4 secions only 2 seeds could be together, pointless bringing up new ideas at meetings as they dont stand a chance of being voted in and everything goes over the head of the chaps that turn up for these meeting (captains)
prediction
section a - Douglas
section b - Tassie
section c - Brig
section d - Den Inn
Auld Hoose
Silver Tassie

Re: 100 league sections 2009/10
blazers have the buck'n'hynd for the second year in a row
blazers won in the buck'n'hynd last year 100-59 but as the score versus the 3 teams in the group was not good enough we were nocked out after the league was completed.

100 ball rule
blazers playing buck'n'hynd, there player did not have a pot so played to hit a pale but miss hit and fould so as blazers thought they could move the white to the dee but didnt want 2 shots the rule for making a foul is minus 3 points.
the rule was you were allowed to move it, maybe it has changed, the rule was discussed before a year or so ago / baldy pointing it out, check this foram below for information
http://levenmouthpoolleague.5forum.net/new-forum-pool-f3/pool-rules-t24.htm
anyway blazers won the game 100 - 76 in the end

Re: 100 league sections 2009/10
Tassie bt the AHW last night, think the score was about 100-90.
Maybe it was an inappropriate time to point out: at the start of an AHW break with score at 85 -99 (but a very crucial time to check that the balls had been set up correctly) but the black spot was too far forward by about 3/4 inch. Thought the rack had been placed incorrectly but upon checking, the black was on the spot.
Don't think the AHW were too chuffed about me pointing it out (Think it was a gimp Skins called me!, What a nice chap!) but that was the first of me checking it. Anyway they broke with the black in that position all the same and potted off the break so it had no bearing on the result that we won. Was a good fair game that could have gone either way.
Checked the Tassie table when we got back and it's sitting too far forward too. Maybe whoever's setting up the tables is getting it wrong?
Info from the rules about the spot
"The cloth will be marked with a "Spot" at the position where a straight line drawn diagonally from the centre of a side pocket to the centre of a corner pocket would intersect with a straight line drawn from the centre of the opposite side pocket to the centre of the other corner pocket."

lol never thought of that i thought it was a mask for winter lol
anyways it looks like a 3 way play off for to find the winners of this league.
if blazers loss then i will be on games won and lost between the teams if tassie beat the buck ,
section b updated after week 2
http://levenmouth.leaguerepublic.com/ProcessPublicSelect.do?psSelectedSeason=4728887&psSelectedDivision=4365668&psSelectedLeague=7559313
looking at the table blazers will need to win at auld hoose , tassie play the buck and should win by at least 30 odd points to win the group if blazers loss
if auld hoose win they need to win by 12 odd points to take over blazers but they still have to score more than the tassie.

Douglas 100 Railway 86
Was a disaster from the start as the Railway came in moaning and moaned all night apparantly
Would not play with red balls on a red cloth, balls changed to yellow and blue
Railway had about 12 men in the pub at the start
We have 9, Chico writes down the 9 men, hands sheet to Railway, Railway bring it back with only 8 names on their side and said that they were only playing with 8
So as I was down as 9th I got bombed out and could play
So off I went out the pub and away
Glad they got their just deserves in the end
Well done the Douglas
