Re: 3 Man Team 1st Round
looking at the venues and number of teams that took part this year to last year their is a drop in intrants, what will it be like next year and after ?
4 venues
den had 6 teams, blazers was added to this venue
molly malones had 5 teams
sunbeam had 5 teams
swan had 5 teams i think a team got added to the original 4 teams
so i think there was 20 teams entered in total £180
swan - mollys never turned up so loss there £9
dont know of any other teams that never turned up
last year there was 8 venues with 30 teams £270

Re: 3 Man Team 1st Round
are you saying the entries are down because it costs more to enter a team??
that probably is the case but it beats turning up to a pub which is ment to have 6 teams there and there only being 2 because other teams have just put any teams together cause it hardly cost anything. doing it this way means most teams turn up.
i know over the years theres been more entries in competitions but lets be serious, how many actually turn up?? better percentage turning up these days

Re: 3 Man Team 1st Round
how many teams turned up at your venue, molly malones never turned up was there more at any other venues
it dosent matter what i think the fact is there is a lot less teams entering competitions
part of making the entry fee higher was to make teams turn up (more to lose)
thought i had to point this out, the income for the total amount is less than last year nearly £100 less
2 years ago at £1, 8 venues and 6 teams each, income was only £48 a third of what it is now, so the entry fee had to be increased
if the entry fees had been slowly increased every couple of year or even 5 years , i was at the 2002 AGM and wanted the entry fee increased to £2 each , but this was not done
If it had went up then we may be playing for a £5 a head by now and no one would be bothered
so blame the comittee at that time and the present committee just because
