i asked when the season would start it seems they don't know
last season it started 18 august , their is a couple of problems with dates of fixtures and finals
come on committee snap out of it

the seniors and captain vice cap are on the same day on a sunday

3 man team and doubles are on the same day i didnt think this worked the time i watched it as teams had qulaifed for their final and both teams had to wait for the other competition to be played , a lot of waiting arround for no reason

14 teams in the league for 2012/13. 2 less than before so less games. no 2nd division, won't be needed
no Den Inn B, Kirkland, Tower Bar who dropped out before the end of last season
bayview the only new team this season , bets on how long they last as they never played a full season the last time they were in the league

14 teams in the 100 ball wonder how thats gonna be played , with the matches for this competing having 3 weeks to play like before and a semi-final week
must be a staight knockout for this season instead on groups , thinking it can't be straight knockout to many weeks
so maybe 2 groups of 4 and two groups of 3 with free weeks , not ideal and a bit shite

what about a final of 3 teams with the semis being 3 semis of 6 teams , who knows probably not even been noticed by the committee

August meeting

The question about the 100 ball was brought up , bundy asked how is it gonna work this year with 14 teams ?
with 14 teams 4 groups of 4 is not an option so having a straight nock-out would be better

the committees answer was we dont know how many teams are gonna enter , well as every year it will be a full entry of teams ,maybe the odd team may not want in

its still more than 8 teams so will need 1st round, quarters and then semi so a week too many that has been arranged in the fixture list
3 fixtures and a semi final are in the fixture list
what this means like last year (3 man team) all the fixtures after the 100 ball will have to be moved back a week Rolling Eyes
the committee dinni listen to the fact their is a mistake in their fixtures, they just said 'look leave it to us we will arrange it' No

blazers had a faulty cushion on their table and the douglas had to meansing it like they were right to complain about the table being faulty, the cushion is sorted now it was repaired last friday
no douglas player had questioned the cushion till a blazers player pulled the cushion out the table

speaking to the publicain about bundy going into the pub and walking around the table checking it out and then leaving without asking about the table or if there was any faults that he felt may have been repaired, next thing blazers receive a phone call saying the committee would be down to check the table before the match was to be played and the game would be given to douglas
nearly dinner time, its about time for a pie

really the august meeting was a waist of time it should have been cancelled until september with only 1 game being played so far
the registration sheets were handed in but it was decided to leave it till september to hand them in

auld hoose buckhaven and brig failed to attend the meeting in the buck (not sunbeam)

missing a meeting is 20

The committee said teams not playing their fixture in the summer league will be fined , so almost all them then Laughing
fines for non fulfilment of fixture i think is 15
Auld Hoose Windygates 90
Molly Malones 30
Sunbeam & Auld Hoose Buckhaven 15 each
so looks like a dear start to the season for some teams Razz

with all these fines does the money generated go to the prize money for this competition Question
5 to the league, 10 to the other team
could be 50 extra for the competition

September Meeting

non fulfilment for last years summer cup was waved as the summer cup was from last season, it will be non fulfilment of fixture next summer of 10
non fulfilment for 100 ball this season is 15 fine

fees for doubles and 3 man team entry should be handed in for next meeting at bayview
so decide how many teams you want for doubles and 3 man teams and write the names down to enter this year, 2 a head so doubles is 4 a team and 3 man team is 6 a team
subs must be on entry sheets or you wont have a sub if needed

100 ball is 10 a team , it was decided that it would be groups with two groups of 4 and two groups of 3 with free weeks

pool funds has 2344 in bank

november is the last date for transfers

missing september meeting was Swan and Central

next meeting october will be in Bayview

The competitions will soon be starting after the names are handed in , names for teams is fine but the reserve can still be better with teams only allowed 1 reserve so if for what ever reason you have a player that cant play and the reseve is unavalable as well the team is out

what i think may be an idea is depending on how many teams you enter for that competition say three you should get a maximum amount of reserves of three if possible listed and if a team is short of a player then can dip into the reserves they have named only once as it is now
most teams won't have enough reserves maybe 1 or 2 , so if entering 5 doubles it would help them

the reason for this is when a team is named and reserve is named there reserve may not be used and can not be used for any other team that may need a reserve

october meeting

all teams were present, pool funds 2367
all teams for competitions were handed in at this meeting (100 ball, 3man team & doubles) , draws of venues will be handed out for thursday

teams wanting to enter singles in january should bring money and players names for november meeting, 2 a player

out of district players should register to play in the league through the committee , any player leaving the district and moving home, and does not play for a team for a season will have to register as a new out of district player

next meeting november at brig

blazers lead railway 4-3 and 5-3 at half time, blazers won the next 3 with railway conceding the next and lost the the next 3 and conceding the final frame for a 13-3 win to blazers

after watching the games being played jock pointed out that he used reflection on the balls from the lights to judge his shots or somthing like that after he started going on about this i dropped off into a coma Laughing

Douglas Signed 2 players from glenrothes, Clark transferred from Argyle to Bayview
argyle player Clark out of 3 man team so J Keillor took his place at Molly Malones Venue
3 man team fixtures were handed out
along with league table and groups in 100 ball

at last nights meeting names had to be entered for the singles tournament held in January

the blazers entry sheet handed in at the October meeting below (click on competition entry), if this sheet had been blank and handed to all teams the month before it would have been easier for teams to enter there players names in the boxes provided

come on committee lets see some new ideas that help make things better, there was complaints by committee members about the size of paper used by some captains and it not being clear enough to understand

january meeting

held at the buck'n'hynd

any entrants for seniors competition have until monday when the draw will be made
competition is free to enter for team members 50 or over, not sure if the rule having to play a certain amount of league games in the season apley, the tournament is played on a wednesday night
the draw for the doubles competition should be held as well

home venus with no rest at it risk the away team claiming the game Surprised a X rest and spider should be at each venue no need for a swan neck Shocked it was pointed out they are only 2 to buy , what does it matter the cost if they are stollen
this rule has to be looked at for the next AGM to lose a game because someone has stolen the rest canny be right, teams wont lose the match till it is voted in at an AGM

teams missing meeting were auld hoose buckhaven, auld hoose windygates, bayview, molly malones & swan

pool funds 3,155

february meeting will be held in the Douglas

looking at the fixture list for competitions it seems some tournaments could have been more spread out
100 ball final league game was 31 jan , semi is 28 march 2 months later and final is 7 april over a week after semi

singles 1st round was 17 january , 2nd round at end of april 25th 3 months later with finals played mid may 12th, weeks later

2nd rounds could have been half way between 1st round and final
